Trigger Warning

A Soul To Embrace TW/CW
Major spoiler below

Please only read further if you have triggers, otherwise you will seriously spoil the book for yourself.

Go back to the Book

Firstly, I will list what triggers AREN’T in the book so you can stop reading in order not to spoil it: No purposeful harm done between the characters, rape or non-con/dub-con, torture, physical abuse, cheating, suicide, abortion, incest, drug/alcohol abuse, ow/om drama, or child harm. No main character death, depression, or loss. No pregnancy.

Please consider stopping here if your trigger has been detailed above as the rest are major spoilers.

There is a graphic scene of mutilating a corpse towards the end of the book. Body parts are used as transplant material for healing. There is also a lot of human death and eating – although this is normal for the series.

Recounts of childhood trauma, bullying, and violence involving a young MMC and other children (I glaze over this as much as I can so as to not disturb the reader).

There is an in-depth conversation about grooming – not relating to anything that happens between the main characters. It’s about the past relating to Orpheus and Katerina. This conversation also reflects on an unpleasant past sexual situation for the MMC. As much as this scene may be unsettling, it gives insight into the truth of the past, and is a major turning point for our love interests despite the FMC having no part in it. I expect this will be the point at which most readers will begin to like Jabez.

As always with my books, there is gore.
